COMPANY TIMELINE

1976 Randy Miller begins selling video recording equipment to studios, churches, and other businesses including cameras and training.
  South Western Communications is founded with a name signifying south western Indiana location.
1978 Introduction to the Education market: SWC partners with Rauland-Borg to resell School Intercom & Master Clock equipment.
1980 SWC expands into the healthcare market with the installation of the 1st Rauland-Borg digital Nurse Call system in the country at Bloomington Hospital, Bloomington, Indiana.
3-Mar-80 South Western Communications is incorporated.
1985 Launch into the Detention sector with CCTV and intercom installations at McCracken County Jail, McCracken, Kentucky.
1989 SWC secures State of Tennessee Prison Contracts in Mountain City, Clifton and Tiptonville.
1990 Louisville, Kentucky office is opened alongside contract to install intercom systems for Jefferson County Public Schools.
1991 Indianapolis, Indiana branch is opened with an original focus on education markets.
1992 Nashville, Tennessee branch opens
1994 Decatur, Alabama branch opens as SWC Detention Solutions Group
  SWC is a pioneer in the education market with the distribution of Dynacom Media Retrieval System.
1995 Nashville office expands into Chattanooga with the partnership to resell Rauland-Borg products throughout the state of Tennessee
2006 Koch Enterprises, Inc. acquires SWC, adding Information Technology Systems to an already globally, diversified corporation.
  Todd Lucy becomes acting SWC President. Randy Miller continues involvement as SWC board member.
2009 SWC installs the 1st Responder 5 Nurse Call system at Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.
  SWC acquires Richardson Technology Systems, INC which will operate as SWC dba RTSI.
2012 Rebranding begins, and a new logo is designed.

2020

SWC launches newly re-designed website.

SWC acquires All Systems, expanding its footprint to the Kansas and Missouri markets.
