Since our inception in 1976, South Western Communications (SWC) has been a trusted leader in communication, physical security, and life safety solutions. Headquartered in Newburgh, Indiana, we enrich lives by providing integrated electronics solutions with progressive technologies and services. With nine offices in seven states, we improve communication and safety in our hospitals, schools, detention centers, and businesses.
SWC was acquired in 2006 by Koch Enterprises, Inc, a privately owned, global corporation. Todd Lucy was appointed as president to oversee its expansion. Since then, SWC has grown significantly and expanded its operations by acquiring Richardson Technology Systems, Inc, in Georgia in 2009; All Systems in Kansas City in 2020; and ACT Security in Nashville, Tennessee in 2022. At present, SWC has a workforce of more than 320 employees spread across all our offices.
2022
SWC acquires ACT Security, expanding into the B2B market in Tennessee.
2020
SWC acquires All Systems, expanding its footprint to the Kansas and Missouri markets.
2009
SWC acquires Richardson Technology Systems in Suwanee, GA.
2006
Koch Enterprises, Inc. acquires SWC.
1994
The Decatur, AL branch opens solely focused on detention solutions.
1976
